UNIDO VISIT COMMISSION D.E.L.CO.

Today 24 March a UNIDO commission, composed of UNIDO members and PCB experts from Azerbaijian, visited the D.E.L.CO headquarters and the D.E.L.CO. technology production center. The objective of the visit was to show the members of the commission the new D.E.L.CO decontamination technologies as well as to present the new Antares project. Antares is a project born with the aim of transferring the technologies and knowledge necessary to allow the nations themselves to decontaminate transformers contaminated by PCB, to all the countries concerned and with problems of PCB decontamination, all without costs. borne by the state or the international community. The meeting was also an opportunity to present the new D.E.L.CO WWD technology, water decontamination technology. This new technology, patented last year, allows not to use traditional solvents to extract PCBs from non-porous materials, using only water and non-dangerous additives. This new technology with low environmental impact also allows a complete re-use of water with the simultaneous extraction of the PCB. The combined use of D.E.L.CO ODR technology also allows the destruction of the PCB.
