DelcoTerm® F 15 fluid is a high-quality, paraffin-based oil that is transparent, colorless, and odorless. It is selected, refined, and treated with special processes that make it compliant with the purity requirements of the pharmacopoeia.
Due to its specific physical and chemical characteristics, it is particularly suitable for use, only in the liquid phase, as a heat exchange fluid in oleothermic (thermal oil) systems within the chemical-pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food/feed production and/or packaging industries. It is also suited for any application where the use of a high-purity fluid is required by regulations or for product quality.
This is an oil with a narrow distillation range, a light and transparent color, and practically zero toxicity through inhalation and ingestion. It features very low vapor pressure, good demulsibility, and is easy and safe to handle. It is almost completely insoluble in water and possesses chemical-physical properties capable of meeting all the requirements of a mineral diathermic fluid.
DelcoTerm® F 15 oil has high distillation (2%) and flash points, low vapor pressure, absolute chemical inertness towards all materials used in oleothermic circuits, and good cold pumpability, which places it at the forefront of the best diathermic oils on the market. It is equipped with excellent chemical and thermal stability and is therefore particularly resistant to all classic deterioration phenomena, such as oxidation and cracking, to which an oil is normally subjected in oleothermic systems.
